Shanghai Media Group (SMG), also known as Shanghai Broadcasting, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd., is a provincial-level mainstream media and comprehensive cultural industry group with diverse industrial sectors and large-scale operations in China. As of the end of 2017, SMG had 12 functional departments, seven career departments, 14 primary subsidiaries, one listed company, 74 secondary subsidiaries, and four tertiary subsidiaries, employing more than 15,000 people. 1. Media Operations and Network Transmission
This includes thirteen radio frequencies: Shanghai News Broadcasting, Dongfang News Information Broadcasting, Traffic Broadcasting, Story Broadcasting, Opera Broadcasting, Dongfang Metropolitan Radio •899 Driving FM Radio Channel , Classic947 FM Radio Channel , Dynamic101 FM Radio Channel , Love Radio103.7 FM Radio Channel , KFM981FM Radio Channel , Wuxing Sports Broadcast FM Wave Band , The first Financial Broadcast FM Wave band，Pujiang Voice.
Thirteen TV channels: Dragon TV、Shanghai TV、Dragon TV International、news comprehensive、city life、English language educational channel ICS、doco China Documentaries Channel、Art People's livelihood channel Arts & Culture Digital channel OCN；Sports Five-star Sports；Jiushi International Financial；Ha Ha Cartoon；Oriental Shopping。
Fifteen digital pay-TV channels nationwide: Urban Drama Theater ，Laughing Theatre，Anime Show Theater，All documentary，Eastern Finance Pudong，Judicial World，Seven-color Drama Theatre ，Happy Lottery ，Game WindFury ，Charm Music，Lifestyle Beauty ，Speedy Auto Racing ，Explosive Sports，New Vision ， Golden Channel。

2. Content Production and Copyright Management
This includes all kinds of content production such as news, variety shows, social education, sports, drama series, animation, and documentaries. Wuyan Communications Company under SMG specializes in the transaction of program copyright inside and outside the group.
3. New Media on the Internet
SMG's new media products mainly include BesTV platform including IPTV/OTT/mobile client; Knews media product for multimedia news containing Knews client-side，24-hour live streaming etc；internet audio social community application "Archimedes"；"The First Financial" new media matrix including Yicai Net，Client-side of the First Financial（Yicai app），global business coverage by Yicai Global。
4. Live Performance
SMG has many performance groups such as Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center; Shanghai Dance Theatre, Shanghai Acrobatics Troupe; Shanghai Symphony Orchestra; Shanghai Farce Troupe; Shanghai Puppet Troupe;8shanghai Light Music Orchestra ，etc.

6. Cultural Finance
SMG Financial Co., Ltd. is the financial company for the national radio and television system, aiming to strengthen the centralized fund management of SMG and East Pearl Group, providing financial management services for SMG member units as a non-bank financial institution.
7. Video Shopping and Others
The subsidiary named Dongfang Shopping is one of China's largest and most distinctive video shopping service providers.
